Undergraduate Scholarships

Eligible to apply for a scholarship are students at Uppsala University, who is a Swedish member of Småland’s nation in Uppsala. Among those applicants who, because of progress in studies and other circumstances, may be considered deserving of a scholarship, preference shall be given to those born in Kronoberg County. Undergraduate scholarships are awarded for three years and are paid in instalments. When awarding a scholarship, the board shall test against each other the applicant’s study results and needs, as well as other circumstances, which affect the assessment of the benefit the scholarship entails.

As a travel scholarship, the scholarship committee can award an undergraduate scholarship to an extra amount, a maximum of a quarter of the basic amount, to cover travel and increased living expenses for studies abroad, which is not less than half a semester.

Monitoring
The research fellow is obliged to monitor the scholarship with the first curator every semester, no later than 15 April in the spring semester and 15 November in the autumn semester, with the assurance that the research fellow is still conducting university studies. Research Scholarships

Eligible to apply for a scholarship are students at Uppsala University, who are Swedish citizens and members of Småland’s nation in Uppsala. Among those applicants who, given progress in studies and other circumstances, may be considered deserving of a scholarship, preference shall be given to those born in Kronoberg County.

Research scholarships are awarded for one year and are awarded to anyone who has shown proof of outstanding talent and scientific work is dependent on scholarship support. Scholarships cannot be obtained by those who receive a full education grant or hold a doctoral position.

The application must be accompanied by a certificate from the supervisor about the applicant’s ability to assimilate postgraduate education. The last day to apply is April 15.

After a renewed application, the person who has been awarded a research scholarship is entitled to a one-year extension of the scholarship, provided that the studies according to the supervisor’s certificate have been conducted successfully and that the scholarship recipient has not received a full education grant or doctoral position.
